The school has divided its students into 4 houses namely Honesty, Integrity, Solidarity & Unity. Each student is allotted a specific house and care is taken that each house has almost equal number of students, both boys and girls. Each house is placed under a House Master and teachers and year long co-scholastic activities are held to judge the performance of each child in the co-scholastic area along with the academic area as this is the concept of holistic education, based on the CBSE guidelines. Various inter house competitions are held throughout the year to ensure participation of maximum no. of students. A house wise meeting is held where the House Masters and teachers meet the students of their houses from classes VI to XII to know their preferences and choices for the different inter house activities. This also helps in preliminary selection procedure for the school appointees or prefects.
House system is for the sake of the interaction among the students of different classes and to promote team spirit, loyalty and healthy competition among them. During the course of academic year, several inter-house competitions are organised like sports, debate, drawing, extempore, essay writing etc. Every outstanding student is given a prize and a certificate for his/her performance in the competitions. Points are awarded to the students throughout the year. At the end of the academic year the house, which gets the maximum points is awarded.
- 5 points are awarded to the house for securing 1st position.
- 3 points are awarded to the house for securing 2nd position.
- 1 point is awarded to the house for securing 3rd position.
The core values are explained as self-development, intellectual empowerment and life-long learning within the diversity and strength of our one community. The four 'cornerstones' of the school are learning, tradition, respect and quality co-education. Together, these aspects make up the core values, philosophy, ideology of the school and they 'give us our clear direction and pathway'.
